Center St in Whitewater, celebrates October as Art and Disability Awareness Month and has coordinated several events through out the city. A reception will be held from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Oct. 23 where a premiere performance written by local playwright, actor and co-owner of Royal Oak Productions, Karen McCulloch, will be performed at 3 p.m., during the reception. Incorporating music, dance, visual arts and poetry, the piece will lead the viewer through these struggles and challenges that eventually allows us to see the beauty of the person inside.
